Elizabeth Lambert Speaks


Elizabeth Lambert, also called the most violent female soccer player in history, broke her silence. Elizabeth is the New Mexico soccer player know for performing two nasty plays in a conference tournament game. During her first interview with the New York Times, she apologizing for displaying such actions towards her opponents. During the game you could clearly see her misconduct as she performed hair pulling, punching, elbowing, and kicking. Many people are saying her actions are inexcusable for any player and especially a female one. The video clip was broadcasted through thw worldwide news and was viewed over six million times on YouTube. She defends herself by saying: "I look at it and I'm like, 'That is not me,'. I have so much regret. I can't believe I did that. I think the way the video came out, it did make me look like a monster. That's not the type of player I am. I'm not just out there trying to hurt players. That's taking away from the beauty of the game. And I would never want to do that."
